Youth Confirmation

Confirmation is a Catholic sacrament in which the Holy Spirit is given to those already baptized. It is a sacrament of mature Christian commitment and a deepening of baptismal gifts. Like Baptism and 1st Communion, it is a Sacrament of Initiation for Catholics and a Sacrament of faith in God's fidelity to us.

YOUTH CONFIRMATION: For Middle and High School Students

Archbishop Gomez has accepted our proposal to run a Confirmation Program for Middle School students in our Parish as a 4-year experiment beginning in 2015, which will be evaluated at the end of the 4 year period.

This new Confirmation Program applies ONLY to parishioners and students of St. Martin of Tours Parish and school. We will not accept candidates from other parishes or from parishioners who have registered less than one year prior to enrollment. We will consider some exceptions for families who recently moved into the area from other states.

Currently, the journey towards Confirmation begins in 9th grade with students being confirmed in 10 grade. The new Confirmation Formation will begin in 6th grade and candidates will be confirmed in 7th grade.

Form more information, or if you would like to t know how you can get involved, please contact Rhiannon Jensen by email, or call the office at 310-476-7403, ext. 225.
